Adjustable Power

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod System features adjustable power, allowing users to customise their vaping experience. The device has a wattage output range of 5-25W and a voltage output range of 2.0-4.0V. Users can adjust the wattage in 1W increments by pressing the power button three times. The device also features a 0.69″ OLED display screen that shows the current wattage setting.

Battery

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod System has a built-in 700mAh battery, which is suitable for all-day vaping with its 2mL pod capacity. The device can be charged using a USB Type-C port and takes approximately 70 minutes to fully charge. The NFIX Pro is well-regulated, with the power output remaining consistent until the battery reaches 2% charge. At this point, the output significantly drops, and a “battery low” warning appears on the screen.

Adjustable Airflow

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod System has an adjustable airflow feature that allows users to customise their vaping experience by controlling the amount of air intake. This feature makes the device suitable for both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) vaping styles. The NFIX Pro has a small airflow adjustment slider located at the back of the device. The slider is small and doesn't protrude much, making it difficult to accidentally change the airflow setting. The airflow can be adjusted from nearly closed off to fully open. When the airflow is fully open, it's similar to the OXVA Xlim's fully open setting, which is still quite restricted and more suited for MTL vaping rather than RDL.

LED Indicator

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod Kit features an LED indicator that provides visual feedback during operation. When vaping, the LED indicator will illuminate white. The LED indicator also plays a role in alerting the user to potential issues. For instance, if an atomizer short circuit is detected, the LED will flash five times. While the NFIX Pro features a 0.69-inch OLED screen for displaying information like battery life, wattage, and puff count, the LED indicator serves as a simple visual cue during vaping and for potential safety issues.

OLED Display

The Kit features a 0.69-inch OLED display screen that provides essential vaping information to the user. The screen is clear, uses a single white colour on a black background, and is well-organised for easy readability. The screen displays the following information:

• Battery Icon: A visual representation of the remaining battery charge.
• Battery Percentage: The remaining battery charge displayed as a percentage.
• Wattage: The currently selected power output in watts.
• Coil Resistance: The resistance of the installed coil in ohms.
• Puff Counter: A running count of the number of puffs taken.

The screen illuminates when the device is activated, either by pressing the fire button or by inhaling on the mouthpiece (auto-draw). It also displays the battery charge status and remaining charge time while the device is charging.

Power Button

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod Kit features a multifunctional power button located below the OLED display screen on the front of the device. The button is small and doesn't protrude much, but it is responsive. Here are the functions of the power button:

• Power On/Off: Pressing the power button five times quickly turns the device on or off.
• Screen Activation: Pressing the power button once illuminates the OLED display screen, showing the battery status, wattage, coil resistance, and puff counter.
• Wattage Adjustment: Pressing the power button three times quickly enters the wattage adjustment mode. Each subsequent press increases the wattage by 1W, cycling from 5W to 25W and then back to 5W. To confirm the desired wattage, simply stop pressing the button, and the device will return to standby mode.
• Manual Firing: Although the device primarily relies on auto-draw activation, the power button can also be used to manually fire the device.

While the auto-draw feature provides a hands-free vaping experience, the power button on the NFIX Pro offers additional control and functionality to the user, including turning the device on/off, activating the screen, adjusting wattage, and manually firing the device.

Air Inlet

The NFIX Pro Pods have two airflow holes at their base, indicating that air likely enters the pod through these holes and then travels into the device. The device also incorporates an airflow sensor within the pod bay, suggesting that the air inlet may be positioned to direct airflow past this sensor to trigger the auto-draw mechanism.

Draw Activated Mechanism

Coils

The SMOK NFIX Pro Pod Kit utilises SMOK LP1 coils, which are known for their flavour production and are compatible with several other SMOK devices. The kit includes two coils: a 0.9ohm LP1 Meshed MTL coil (pre-installed) and a 1.2ohm LP1 Meshed MTL coil. Both of these coils are designed for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, a style that mimics the sensation of smoking a traditional cigarette. Additionally, the NFIX Pro is compatible with other LP1 coils available separately:

• 0.8ohm Meshed LP1 coil: Offers a slightly warmer vape with increased vapour production.
• 0.8ohm DC (Dual Wire) LP1 coil: Provides a flavour experience different from mesh coils.

These coils are also compatible with the SMOK Novo 4 Mini, Pozz Pro, and Novo 4 kits, offering versatility and convenience for users with multiple SMOK devices. Coil installation is a simple push-in/pull-out process, making it easy to replace coils when needed. The coils are designed to be replaced, not cleaned, ensuring optimal performance and hygiene. The NFIX Pro features a 0.69-inch OLED screen that displays the resistance of the installed coil, allowing users to easily confirm the correct coil is in use.

Device Protection Features

The NFIX Pro has several built-in safety protections to prevent damage to the device:

• Short Circuit Protection: The device will automatically cut off power if a short circuit is detected. The LED indicator will flash five times to alert the user.
• Overcharge Protection: It prevents the battery from being overcharged, protecting it from damage.
• Over-Discharge Protection: It prevents the battery from being discharged below a safe level, preserving its lifespan.
• Low Resistance Protection: Detects if the coil resistance is too low (below 0.6ohm) and displays an error message on the screen.
• High Resistance Protection: Detects if the coil resistance is too high (above 3ohm) and displays an error message on the screen.
• No Atomizer Protection: Detects if the coil is not connected properly or if there is no pod installed and displays an error message on the screen.
